Let me share with you where i mostly shop in Belgium. I always go to the same places to be sure to find my favorite brands.
So first of all Brussels:
I often go to the Westland shopping center.
I always pop in the plus size stores present there:
M&S Mode, Paprika, New Look, C&A and Toscane Armand thierry. I Also check out the Veritas for accessories. Loads of shoe stores .
How to get there by bus from different subwaystops:
|46 Moortebeek – De Brouckère
75 Bon Air – CERIA
89 Westland Shopping – Heysel
| 116 Bruxelles-Chapelle – Itterbeek – Ternat
117 Bruxelles-Chapelle – Itterbeek – Dilbeek Rondenbos
118 Bruxelles-Chapelle – Itterbeek – Schepdaal
571 Halle – Sint-Pieters-Leeuw – Anderlecht – Dilbeek (scolaire)
572 Halle – Anderlecht – Dilbeek – Zellik (bus scolaire)
Brussles city center:
If i go into the city center i start at the top of the Rue Neuve, the shoppingstreet in Brussels. You can find an Ulla Popken, Paprika(one in city 2 and one lower in the street), M&S Mode, C&A. Not a lot of shops but do check out the Inno. Especially when there are sales! You can find mayerline, Anne Harvey, Melvin, Xandres xl,Elena Miro and much more. Also very nice lingerie from f.ex. simone Perele, Triumph,….
On the ‘place de la monnaie’ you’ll find a Damart store. Very annoying that several brands just banned their plus size range like F21 did in their stores in Brussels.
Primark, Nieuwsstraat 15 – 1000 Brussels. Near metro station De Brouckère.
Open from 9.30 – 19u (mon – sat) and till 20u on fridays.
You can shop on Louiselane but those shops are quite expensive. So not that much to shop at in Brussels for us curvy girls.
How to get there:
Take the subway and get out at stop Rogier (top of street) or Debrouckère(end of street). Not so many shops as you can see; that’s why i usually buy my clothes abroad or on the internet.
To go to louise get off at hte station with the same name ‘Louise’.
What about shopping in Antwerp?
I also sometimes go to Antwerp on the MEIR to go to F21 where they have the plus size range. They have almost the same stores as in the Rue Neuve. I also go to the Wijnegem shopping center where all previous mentioned shops are also represented.
How to get there:
From the south (Brussels) by car
Take the E19 towards Antwerp. On the Antwerp ring road, take exit E34-E313 (direction of Hasselt / Liege), then take the first exit (No. 18) Wommelgem / Wijnegem / Mortsel. Continue towards Wijnegem. The shop is located 1 km from the right side of the road.
In public transport, take the train to Antwerp Central, where you can easily take the bus lines 410, 411 or 412.
Line 410. Turnhout Antwerp (this bus runs during peak hours and passes the Quarter Hours).
Line 411. Antwerp – Zandhoven.
Line 412. Antwerp – Schilde – Sint Job in t Goor.
Take the train to Antwerp Central. Exit the station and walk along the Keyserlei that takes you directly to the Meir. Barely a 10 minute walk.
Address: Oudaan 31-32 Antwerp. 5 minute walk from the Meir and plenty of little shops over there.
Great store in Grimbergen. Very large selection of different brands. A little pricey but very interesting during sales !!
EVOLVE – PASTOOR Woutersstraat 8-1850 GRIMBERGEN – TEL 02 265 36 94 – email@example.com
I also add this new link that looks good with different stores in Belgium.
Here is a nice overview of most of the plus size shops in Belgium:
