As promised here a list with the plus size shops i visited in Amsterdam

Just near the central station you find the Nieuwendijkstraat – kalverstraat.

The H&M on the right streetside has a plus size range till 54. Not very big but nice stuff.

There’s also a C&A in the street.

At the end of the street (part kalverstraat) you find the shop V&D. Not to expensive but not so much choice.

I didn’t find Etam and M&S that once were in this street with a plus size range :-(. Do go into the shops and try stuff on cause it seems several shops have L and XL. Loads of shoes too in this street!

-Take metro 54 at the central station direction Gein2 (16 min/10 stops)

Miss Etam  Bijlmerplein 139  1102DB Amsterdam www.missetam.nl

-Take tram 24 VU medisch centrum at the Dam square (10 min/ 6 stops)

Get off at the stop Albert Cuypstraat.

In this street there’s a famous market with loads of clothing, food, and so much more till 5pm. In the same street you’ll find  2 plus size stores

*Foxy Brown Styling  Albert Cuypstraat 266  1072 CS Amsterdam Really nice lady who helps you find the perfect outfit but expensive starts around 75E   www.foxybrownstyling.nl

*Fame Albert Cuypstraat 223 1072 CS Amsterdam. Little shop with all kind of prices. Some real nice pieces but a bit less fashionable. mature audience

*Leathers Albert Cuypstraat 254 CS Amsterdam  Plus size leather stuff

I visited three more shops in that area:

*Odaliske Ferdinand  Bolstraat 160  1072 LT Amsterdam  www.odaliske.nl (tram 3-12-24) mature audience

Really nice clothing with brands like Carmakoma. Nice lady and certainly worth to go there during the sales!!

*Ulla Popken Centuurbaan 288 Amsterdam (not my style)

*Very Fairy Fashion Tweede Jan Steenstraat 42 hs Amsterdam .looked nice from outside but was closed when i went there.

Next neigbourhood

-Take tram 17 Osdorp Dijkgraafplein at the Dam square (7 min/ 4 stops). Get off at the Bilderdijkstraat.

*Mateloos Frederik Hendrikstraat 84 1053 TZ Amsterdam.

this was by far the nicest store, really big, you feel at ease when you get into the shop. Loads of brands (e.g. Anna Scholz)with prices from 60-600Euro. There’s a special room for big cup lingerie. Really nice coloured bra’s, swimmingsuits,…

Check it out.

In the Bilderdijkstraat you can find 3 shoestores with big and wide shoes

*Caland schoen N° 66

*Cees Tak N° 69

*Frans Noyen N° 164

A bit further the De Clercqstraat crosses the Bilderdijkstraat. In this street you’ll find 2 more plus sie shops. First one is a bit retro

*Boutique Jacqueline De Clercqstraat 90 Amsterdam mature audience

*Personality Boetiek De Clercqstraat 103 Amsterdam; cottage style clothingand expensive not my style

If you walk down the Bilderdijkstraat to the other side it will cross the Kinkerstraat. In this street i still i have to go to check out this shop

GROVEN+ Beethovenstraat 62-64 1077 JL AMSTERDAM | TEL 020 673 23 21 | http://www.grovenamsterdam.nl/

Great range of famous plus size brands! Worth a look!

Here is a site where you can find shops like Marina Rinladi (e.g. Bijenkorf) or Elena Miro

Here a Website with all the addresses from plus size shops in Holland:

http://www.grotematenmode.com/noordholland.htm

Another interesting site: http://www.modeoutlet.nl/

How to get there?

It’s only a 3 hour drive from Brussels but you’re better off in the weekend to take the train (no parking hassle). Its also 3 hours but the weekend tickets are at 24E and you arrive and leave at the time you want!

    • Hey Melanie,
I’m happy my shop overview could help you find some gorgeous plus size items in Amsterdam!
Sorry about the credit card damage but when it happens to me I always tell myself ‘You deserve it and money was made to spend 🙂
      Big kisses

    • I hope you found something you liked as all the shops are not near eachother. Do not hesitate to go into regular shops. The people are taller and the standard clothes are bigger. Happy shopping xxx ps If you discovered ohter shops do let me know!

  2. This blog is great! I checked it all out. A couple of things though:
-Foxy Brown had moved it’s store to the Albert Cuypstraat 266
    – Tina’s dreamworld is absolutely nowhere to be found. Not on the address showen on this site or the other address I found somewhere else on the internet. It’s just gone.
    – Fame, Odaliske and Boutique Jacqueline were nice stores, but where all for a more mature audience I think.

But Mateloos, Foxy Brown Styling and Ulla Popken where amazing!
